Madhav wanted a relationship. Riya didn’t. So, she decided to be his ‘Half Girlfriend’. More than a friend, less than a girlfriend. The movie is written by the writer of 2 States, Director of Aashiqui 2 & Producers of Ek Villain present – Half Girlfriend Dost Se Zyada, Girlfriend se kam, which is going to release on May 19th, 2017
What is the Story of Half Girlfriend Movie?
So, this movie starts with Chetan Bhagat, he was in Patna for some reason and there he met Madhav and he shows him some journals of Riya (Shraddha Kapoor aka Half Girlfriend) and by him (Chetan) she is dead.Chetan asks for the story curiously and he tells the story from when he got admission in St. Stephen’s school and in these schools you not only have to give the cut off marks but you also have to give Interview.So, while giving his interview, he has asked some questions in English and then he says the famous dialogue “Sir, myself coming from village area”. And in the next scene, Madhav came to see the Merit List and his name is also present in the Sports Quota at no.2.And Riya’s name is at First in First Merit List. So, we can conclude that she is very intelligent, smart and knows good English or her admission was due to MONEY. She is doing B.A. and she also plays basketball.Movie has also shown scenes from Ganga River and Jawaharlal Nehru Roundabout. and in the poster, we can see Gonchar, Patna. In the next scene, I feel that there is a function going on and here Riya says to Madhav that she can’t be your girlfriend but she can be her Half-Girlfriend.Next, we can see some scenes when Madhav’s friend force him to be harsh on her to see if she is committed with her or not. And we can see the guilt on Madhav’s face that shows that he is not willing to do all this and he feels that he has come to his friends saying.While all this happens Madhav says “Deti hai to de, varna kat le.” which meant “Give love to me, or leave” and after listening all this Riya is badly hurt and she leaves the room.

In the next scene, she is drunk and I thinks that she kisses him in the drunk state.Next, we see those scenes when Madhav takes Riya to Patna and then Simao (Madhav’s Village, Simran actually doesn’t exist and the movie is written to the village named Dumraon. But Damon's people filed a defamation case against Chetan Bhagat and its name was changed to Simao) and next we see the Mahatma Gandhi Setu Bridge of BiharNext, you can find the scenes of New York where Madhav came to find Riya. We can notice the bunch of places like The Time Square, Brooklyn Bridge and Bethesda Fountain of Central Park.
